alcohol and addiction help was formed in 1995 by myself, Brian Nuttall, and the former Director of Surrey Alcohol Drug and Advisory Service, Nick Mansfield. The intention is to provide specialist individual therapy addressing the needs of anyone requiring help and guidance with any type of addiction including eating disorders. The therapeutic approach is based upon an enquiry into the underlying causes for the excess and abuse and seeks to effect a change of understanding and attitude to those causes. The approach is flexible and will involve therapeutic styles to suit the particular needs and circumstances of the individual. If the client has not been referred by a GP or Psychiatrist such advice may be sought prior to commencement of therapy. Dr Tim Cantopher BSc. MB BS FRCPsych, an eminent psychiatrist specialising in addiction and depression, also consultant at the Priory Healthcare Group, is regularly consulted and available to this practice.
